MEMBERSHIP 2012

The SVCC memberships have undergone a drastic change this year. New requirements with the migration to paid labor for events and the increase in operating expenses has resulted in an increase in membership fees. Members will have the opportunity to reduce their net membership amounts by working events. All required work events for members will now be paid positions. Members will still be required to work a total of (3) events with the Single or Regular membership.Failure to work events and no show violations will result in penalty fees being assessed like last year.Two types of membership’s remain that do not have a work requirement. These are the Mileage membership, (residence over 100 miles from SVCC) and the Non-working membership.

Membership pricing:

Single…………$  300.00 requires working 3 events

Regular…… …$ .325.00 requires working 3 events

Mileage… ……$. 350.00 no work events required

Non-working… $ 400.00 no work events required

The paid working positions will vary in rate but at the very least will be paid at minimum wage. Each event coordinator will have the breakdown for payments for each position. Members will be required to have on file with SVCC, a W4, I9 and a completed employee questionnaire. This paperwork must be completed prior to working the required events. These forms are available for download on the SVCC website. A work event constitutes a minimum number of hours depending on the position. The EC (event coordinator) will keep time sheets for each event with the SD Dept. of Labor required information. Time sheets must be signed by the employee and the EC.

 Those working events will receive payment approx. every 2 weeks and will be mailed to the address on file. There is no limit on the amount of events one may work providing the positions are available. Preference for working events will be given to members satisfying their membership requirements.
